During an off-rim changeover, tires are removed from your rims, your incoming seasonal set is mounted, and the wheels are balanced. This differs from an on-rim swap, where both sets already have their own rims.
Allow time for mounting and balancing
The booking calendar reserves 90 minutes for a single changeover. Mounting and balancing involve more work than exchanging complete wheel assemblies. Actual work time depends on your vehicle and tire condition.
Buying new tires instead?
When you purchase new tires from Tire Troopers, mobile installation is included in the tire price. There is no separate $199 changeover charge for installing those new tires. Tire levies and applicable taxes are separate.
